This policy applies to the Android app Biofaker Chat, package name cc.biofaker.chat.
Biofaker Chat is a user-generated messaging app. Users can create profiles, send messages and images, join chats/channels, report content, and block other users.
Data we collect
- Account and profile data: nickname, account id, profile text, avatar, contacts, app version, platform, and session data.
- User content: messages, replies, stickers, uploaded images, room/channel titles, descriptions, avatars, and membership/role data.
- Moderation data: reports, blocked users, room actions, moderation restrictions, and related timestamps.
- Notification data: Expo push token, notification permission status, platform, and delivery metadata.
- Technical data: device identifier generated for login limits, IP address, user agent, request URL, request time, logs, and security events.
How we use data
We use data to operate the chat, deliver messages and notifications, keep accounts and rooms working, prevent spam and abuse, investigate reports, secure the service, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers used to host the app backend, deliver push notifications, protect the service, or store logs. We may disclose data when required by law or when needed to protect users and the service from abuse.
User-generated content
Messages, images, room names, profile names, and profile text are created by users. Public or shared rooms may be visible to other participants. Users can report messages and block other users in the app. Moderators may remove content or restrict accounts and rooms.
Retention
Messages, profiles, rooms, reports, and technical logs are kept as long as needed to provide the service, maintain moderation history, prevent abuse, or meet legal requirements. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before normal rotation removes it.
Deletion
You can request deletion of your Biofaker Chat account and related data using the instructions on the data deletion page. We may retain limited records when necessary for security, anti-abuse, legal, or dispute handling.
Children
Biofaker Chat is not directed to children. Users must meet the minimum age required by their country and by Google Play rules for messaging and user-generated content apps.
Security
We use access controls, server-side moderation tools, backups, and security monitoring to protect the service. No system is perfect, so users should avoid posting sensitive personal information in chats.
